2008 Designers in Residence

Agga B. Raya, AGGA B

The AGGA B. collection began to immerge on the editorial pages. Agga was featured in the Chicago Sister Cities Fashion Show in September 2006 and was selected to be a featured designer of Genart's Fresh Faces 2007. With her fall collection she become nominated to become one of the designers in residence of Macy's incubator in Chicago that latter lead her towards collaboration with TOYOTA conceptual cars.

Lidia Wachowska, Evil Kitty

The Evil Kitty collection is based on an animated character that Lidia Wachowska created for an animation project while attending The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. The line has two distinct personalities; one is punky and playful, while the other is sleek and classy. Evil Kitty's target audience are strong, independent women who like to stand out in the crowd. Bright colors and playful designs dominate the Evil Kitty landscape. Wear it at the risk of being the star in your moment.

Kate Coxworth, Kate Boggiano

Kate Boggiano is founded on the principles of high quality and great fitting clothing, manufactured in the USA. When the line began, Kate aspired to become an expert in one area first-women's shirts and blouses- and expand from there. As a result, Kate Boggiano blouses are among the highest quality on the market today. Kate Boggiano's most popular ruffled blouse, the Isadora, was featured in October 2009 issue of In Style magazine.

Kristin Hassan

In 2008, Kristin was selected as one of six designers in residence in the first ever Chicago Fashion Incubator @ Macy's on State Street - an opportunity which allowed her to launch her first eco-friendly apparel line for women, organiK Revolution. In October 2009, Kristin followed up with her second collection, Kristin Hassan, as on of Gen Art's Fresh Faces in Fashion designers during Chicago Fashion Focus week. Kristin has been featured in Chicago Magazine, Lucky Magazine, and most recently as a contestant on Bravo's hit reality show, 'The Fashion Show'.

Yana German, YANA

Born in Belarus, Russia, Yana German began her career pursuing the life of a professional ballet dancer. As she toured throughout Europe, she began creating costumes for other dancers; eventually moving to Chicago to open her own boutique and represent various “ready-to-wear” lines from France. The success of her boutique set the stage for a natural transition into her own clothing design endeavor in 2006. Inspired by movement and curvature of the female form, Yana seeks to make her mark on the fashion world with her women’s professional attire; which she describes as “elegant, feminine, and classic with a modern flair.”

Glenn Mallory, Glenn Mallory Clothing

Early in his career, Glenn was featured in two highly acclaimed fashion shows in Chicago – the Annual Barbara Bates Foundation Fashion Show in May 2004 and the Catwalk Is On Fire fashion show at the House of Blues in June 2004. Glenn began in fashion as assistant designer to Barbara Bates in Chicago. In 2007 along with his Mother and cousin, Glenn founded Glenn Mallory Clothing, LLC and is currently designing under the labels 6Ace (CixAce) and Glenn Mallory Chicago. He describe his designs as "hot to death, sexy, and detailed".
